What is so good about our filtration system, and why is it better?
Our filtration process is specifically chosen to preserve the natural protein structure of the protein and immunoglobulins. It does not denature or alter the protein structures like acid or hydrolysis treatment. Our protein filtration system allows us to successfully derive a 85% protein concentrate that exhibits the nutritional macro-nutrient profile of an Isolate, yet we still preserve the protein structure and the immunoglobulin peptides.*
Can I cook with Protizyme?
Yes, but do not exceed 350 degrees, and do not cook for extensive periods of time.
If I'm allergic to nuts can I use Protizyme?
Yes and no. You can use all Protizyme flavors with the exception of Peanut Butter Cookie.
Why is this protein sweetened with Sucralose?
Sucralose was used as a sweetener due to its high impact sweetness factor. This allows us to use significantly less of this sweetener than other comparable sweeteners. Metabolic Nutrition also develops it own flavor system for its products so we were able to use significantly less Sucralose than other companies and still derive a very “natural” taste characteristic. Based on this, we use 1/1000 less sweetener than other comparable formulas. As compared to other natural sweeteners, such as Stevia, we would have had to use upwards of 10,000 times the amount of Stevia to produce the same sweetness level. That would have come at a cost in terms of price of product (higher), bad or chemical off notes, and significant digestive issues (especially in our bariatric patients).*
